Organic Eprints
The online, open access archive Organic Eprints was established by DARCOF in 2002. It is still growing, and now it takes on a new development. An agreement has recently been made with FiBL Berlin that will support the use of the archive in the German language area. With this agreement, the Organic Eprints archive has been chosen as the key database for German organic research. A German language interface will be implemented, and the archive will be placed on a new research module on the German internet portal www.oekolandbau.de.
The archive receives more than 300 visits each day, and 450 users have registered. Nearly 400 articles have been deposited in the archive up till now. The articles can be browsed by subject area and by country of origin, organization and project, and searches can be made on all fields of information. Since the archive now has papers in several different languages and an international audience, an option to browse only English language papers has been added. The archive has been described in more detail in DARCOFenews no. 1.
